EVANS, John Summers - Putnam

John Summers EVANS 65, of Russellville died Monday afternoon March 23, 1964 while enroute to Hines Hospital, Chicago Ill from the Veterans Hospital at Indianapolis where he had been a patient several weeks. He was born Nov 22, 1898 the son of James and Lenna Summers Evans; his wife, Esther Hughes Evans died Dec 26, 1962. Mr. Evans was a veteran of WWI and member of CW Scribner Post 255 Russellville American Legion. Survivors include a daughter, Sue Evans; a sister, Mrs. Rose Hester; two brothers, Howard and Harold and several nieces and nephews.
